The Young Alumni Chapter strives to have fun, while cultivating a life-long commitment to American University through a diverse range of quality events. More than 3,900 young alumni (graduated within the last 10 years) live in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. The alumni chapter sponsors social, sports, and educational events and works with other alumni groups to create meaningful programs for young alumni in the D.C. area. Recent events have included a brunch with the basketball coaches, a holiday happy hour, a Texas Hold 'Em poker tournament, and a service project with Hands on DC.
