AU Celebrates Inauguration 2009
In honor of this historic American presidential inauguration, join the AU community for a special day of intellectual thought, discussion, and celebration.
You won’t want to miss this extraordinary showcase of AU’s motto, “Ideas into Action, Action into Service.” Choose one activity or attend them all, but be sure to join us for Inauguration 2009!
Start your afternoon with a trip through AU’s history on a unique tour of campus led by University Archivist Susan McElrath and current AU student tour guides.
Next, take advantage of AU’s unique connections to the U.S. political scene through panel discussions led by AU’s nationally renowned faculty members including History Professor Allan Lichtman, School of Communication Professor Lenny Steinhorn, and School of Public Affairs Professor Jim Thurber.
